My Every Day Eye Makeup

Snapchat filters are fully my BFF on days that I can’t even. But on days when I want to feel a little more polished I have a go to eye makeup look that perks me up – and can be done in 5 minutes flat!

I’ve been getting a ton of questions from you guys lately about how I do my every day makeup so I thought I’d take you through my routine! I used to spend tons of time doing dramatic smokey eyes even for daytime, but I’ve been going the more natural route lately.

Also I’ve been waking up at like 6:30 am so I’m not into any makeup look that cuts into my breakfast time.

#priorities

I’ve always been a little Too Faced obsessed. My fave product is the Chocolate Bon Bons Palette which I’ve raved about here and here. I love dipping into this palette for a fresh every day look.

Stop This Look

I start every eye look with the Smashbox 24 Hour Eye Primer. When they say 24 hours they mean 24 hours. One of my best friends actually recommended this stuff to me when I kept complaining that the MAC paint pots weren’t cutting it for me anymore.

My eyeshadow looks kept melting off my face by lunchtime. Not a cute look.

This Smashbox primer works so much better. Also the dollars per wear is amazing – I’ve had my tube for like six months and it’s still going strong!

I first wash my lid with a neutral skin tone color. This helps me blend out colors later on so that they don’t stick to the primer and get patchy.

I grab a flat brush and wipe the color “Divinity” all over my lid. Too Faced clearly knows we ladies love the neutrals. “Divinity” and my other fave sparkly shade are in extra large sizes in this palette so that you don’t hit pan so quickly.

My next move is to buff a neutral brown color into my crease to add definition. I like to use a fluffy crease brush and the color “Almond Truffle.” It’s a nice cool toned color that gives me the right amount of depth.

My third and last shadow is the other large pan in the palette called “Satin Sheets.” The color looks just how it sounds – satiny. I love that it gives a nice shimmer to the lid without being super overpowering.

A flat shader brush is the perfect tool here. Look for one that has tapered bristles so that it grabs onto the product and there’s less wastage!

This Sephora liquid liner in pen form is the bees knees. It’s how I get my signature thin, slick black liner!

Honesty time though – I cannot use this bad boy to create a wing. I’m just not that skilled (lolz). When I do my winged liner I usually use this for the lid and then take some gel liner onto an angled brush just for the outer wings.

Shhh it’s our little secret.

I have converted so many women into believers in Too Faced’s Better Than Sex Mascara. My mom is a total bargain hunter but she raided my makeup vanity during her last stay and ended up ordering herself a tube of this stuff. It’s worth the moola.

Literally people always ask me if I have eyelash extensions. To be fair, I have crazy long eyelashes. But this stuff gives me volume that is WOW. Pretty sure that’s how they came up with the sassy name.

Any that’s it! This look is super easy, super quick, and super impactful. I love feeling fresh faced and natural lately.

Trust me I can get on board with a good smokey eye or bold lip, but I believe makeup is supposed to highlight you and your best features – not drown them out.
