I’m such a sucker for online tests. Like duh obviously I want to know which Friends character I am.
I’m Monica by the way. “You’re a little uptight, but you’re a great cook, a great host, and a great friend.” It’s scary how accurate this is.
Anyway, point being personality tests rock. They’re super fun and super insightful. My friend Morgan and I were shooting the shit about blog life and real life the other day and she asked if I had taken the Myers-Briggs personality test. She sent me a link and I was off to the races.
If you make it to the end of this post you’ll also find some info on how to win a Gucci bag.
Oh em gee guys GOOD LUCK!
What is the Myers-Briggs test?
The Myers-Briggs questionnaire is an introspective quiz! Essentially it helps to indicate your psychological preferences and then sorts you into one of 16 personality types.
Now I’m not a scientist or a psychologist. I’m just a human that loves to take quizzes. There are definitely studies out there that dispute the validity of Myers-Briggs, but I’ve got to say my results were pretty dead on.
Reasons to take the Myers-Briggs test.
Learn a little about yourself.
Introspective quizzes are cool because they help you learn about yourself. The Myers-Briggs test helps you understand what makes you you – and why you do or think the way you do.
Identify your strengths and weaknesses.
I’m a big believer that knowledge is power. Knowing your strengths and celebrating them is important. Identifying your weaknesses and owning them is also important. The point of the Myers-Briggs test isn’t to make you feel any particular way about yourself, but rather to inform you of your traits so that you can use that knowledge in your day to day life.
It’s just plain fun!
The website I used, 16 Personalities, is a super fun website. They have cute little characters for each personality type and really dive into the details. This isn’t even sponsored – it was seriously just a ton of fun to take the test.
Ready to learn a little about me?
My personality type.
The Protagonist (ENFJ, -A/-T)
My result was ENFJ, the Protagonist.
Protagonists are natural-born leaders, full of passion and charisma. Forming around two percent of the population, they are oftentimes our politicians, our coaches and our teachers, reaching out and inspiring others to achieve and to do good in the world. With a natural confidence that begets influence, Protagonists take a great deal of pride and joy in guiding others to work together to improve themselves and their community.
If you toss in an intense love of the color black and carbs, that could basically be my bio. Lolz.
All jokes aside – this test gets it. As a first born child, I began my leadership skills bossing around my two younger brothers and quickly moved on to founding clubs in high school, juggling five extra curriculars at one time, and having too many hobbies for my own good.
“The one thing that galls Protagonists the most is the idea of letting down a person or cause they believe in.”
Ugh this is so damn true. I was always the kid that would have rather been grounded than to hear my parents say they were “disappointed” in me. I love being consistent, on time, and a person people can depend on.
They instinctively know how to capture an audience.
My personality isn’t always everyones flavor – but it’s hard to deny I have a personality. I love public speaking and presenting.
I always say I have an internal “sense of justice.” I’m a big believer in right and wrong – sometimes to a fault.
With my whole “internal sense of justice” I’m often super confused by people who don’t adhere to my same life principles. It’s not that I’m not open minded – it’s that I’m overly idealistic. I’m trying super hard to not be such a perfectionist and to not hold others to my perfectionist standards.
Protagonists are receptive to criticism, but sometimes take it a little too much to heart.
Which is so totally 100% me. I’m down to hear what I’m doing wrong – but I walk away thinking I’m the most horrible human on the planet.
Fluctuating self esteem.
One day I think I’m hot shit and the next I’m convinced I’m doing absolutely nothing with my life. Protagonists – AKA ME – are so goal oriented that when we don’t hit a goal we basically think we’re one big fat failure.
Super productive I know.

Whatever you are, Be a good one.
I’m a slow walker, but I never walk back.
Now for the super fun stuff…
