What to Wear on Thanksgiving

Guyssss this was my first professional photo shoot! Usually I just catfish KB or a friend to snap some photos for me. I’ve decided it’s time to kick it up a notch so I totally need you guys to tell me what you think.

Also I’m seriously not a model and it takes a ton of guts to be in front of the camera. I’m still getting used to it and feel so self conscious. But I feel like that’s normal, right?

Thanksgiving is a little over a week away if you can believe it. This year has flown by and I’m seriously starting to wonder where it went.

I’m definitely more of a Christmas girl myself, but fully understand the significance and importance of Thanksgiving. Christmas is always my time to go home, relax. Thanksgiving is the time for me to see allllll my family. The grandparents, the aunts, the uncles, the cousins – the whole shabang.

And let me tell you – we can eat. So picking out a Thanksgiving outfit that’s both cute and hides a food baby is priority numero uno.

This year I’m opting for a classic plaid shirt, a quilted vest, some sparkly flats – and a pair of seriously comfortable jeans.

Plaid shirts are a serious staple for me. I love to break these bad boys out as soon as fall hits. I totally wore a red one on our trip to the pumpkin patch and am wearing this cooler toned green and blue style for my Thanksgiving outfit. I love the shades of navy and hunter green – it’s so classic and chic. I also love that it’s less than $30 (and let’s be real that Old Navy is always on sale – so really I only paid $15).

I also picked up this quilted vest to pop on over my plaid shirts. San Francisco is a weird place. I leave the house and I’m freezing, but by the time I get to work I’m sweating. Vests are perfect for transitional weather.

No Thanksgiving outfit is complete without a stretchy waistband. I felt it was super necessary to wear the stretchiest pants ever – without truly wearing leggings. I’m rocking this pair of jeggings that look so much like real denim but are so. damn. comfortable.

I’m ready to eat until I hate myself.

But I think my fave part of this outfit are my little glitter flats. These are from last year, but I totally managed to find them for you guys here!
