It’s been a craaaazy week at work. Does anyone else’s day job ramp up right before the holidays? It’s like basically the worst time. But it makes Christmas that much sweeter!
In other random Kelsey news – I’m going to New York Fashion week! My blogger friend Ashley has been like my fairy blogmother dishing out some major wisdom. She was gushing about NYFW in February and connected me with an awesome PR agency that’s going to make it happen cap’n!
I’m pretty stoked. We’re still a small little family here at Blondes & Bagels but I love the community we’ve built. I can’t wait to take you all to NYFW with me! Some major outfit posts are in order.
The holiday season may be in full swing, but there’s no snow here in California. We’ve definitely been hit with some rain, but overcast days in the 50 & 60’s are a San Francisco staple. I’ve been cozying up in some faux fur to keep me warm!
Cozy Faux Fur Vests
One of the best things about living in San Francisco is the weather. Weird, right? You either love it or you hate it, but I love overcast days.
I’ve had this faux fur vest for forever. Honestly probably since I started college. I’m definitely drooling over some updated styles lately! I’ll probably pick up a new one (and maybe a coat!) for Fashion Week!
Okay #honestytime I’ve never really loved my legs so never really loved shorts weather. San Francisco life means black jeans and faux fur almost all year ’round.
I’ve been living in these jeans over the last few weeks. I’m not really into real denim. I’m basically a human who would wear sweatpants everywhere if that was socially acceptable. I need spandex.
My jeggings are from American Eagle and they’re my holy grail. They’re a super comfortable stretchy blend. I basically exclusively get my jeans at AE because they make “shorts.” Meaning I can casually cuff my jeans or wear them just slightly baggy – no hemming needed! Shopping for jeans when you’re under 5′ tall is rough.

I decided to accessorize with some pieces from my Michael Kors days. Yes. I totally worked at Michael Kors. And yes. the discount rocked.
This watch is still one of my favorites. Although I’m going to be really honest and let you in on a secret: it definitely doesn’t work anymore. The battery died and I still haven’t replaced it…but it’s basically jewelry anyway.
Don’t judge me.
My bangle is also from Michael Kors but honestly I won’t even link it because it never stays on. Like I cannot subject anyone else to this level of annoyance. I can basically only wear it for photos otherwise it falls off every two seconds.
Get your act together, Michael.
I’m so excited for the next couple of weeks! The countdown to Christmas has officially begun.
As if I haven’t been counting down since Black Friday…
But seriously. I hope you all are having the best December ever! Stay tuned because next Monday I’m kicking off my first ever giveaway and you won’t want to miss it.
Wink wink.

You’re really rockin’ the faux fur vest! I’ve been seeing it around so much lately! Really thinking about getting one but don’t think I can rock it as well as you did. 🙂

I think you could 😉 I feel like if I could pick a new one I’d do a funkier color!

Wow, how lucky are you to go to NYFW? I’d love to go but I have no idea where to even start!
And I am loving your outfit – I love a good faux fur vest this time of year! It’s so festive and pretty! :]
I’m so excited to go! And I totally agree – faux fur vests are super festive and what’s nice is you don’t even have to be decked out in red, green, or plaid 😉
