I’m pretty sure we’re all ready to kiss 2016 goodbye. Am I right?
This year has definitely been filled with both highs and lows. Some doors opened and others closed. But this year has been huge for me in so many ways and I wanted to make sure to take a moment to reflect!
Last Christmas my friends and family pooled together and helped me get my first “big girl” camera. It made all the difference in terms of the content here on my blog.
Even this post about my fave handbag looked a thousand times better thanks to my trusty Olympus.
I wore my Fitbit literally the entire year. No joke.
Until it broke, that is. The power button fell off in November and luckily KB quickly replaced it with the new Charge 2 as a Christmas gift!
My post about how to stay hydrated was by far my most popular post of the year. This makes me think ya’ll want some more healthy lifestyle posts in 2017!
I’m into it.
We went on so many trips in 2016. We kicked off the year with a little California road trip throughout parts of Big Sur. We also stayed at my favorite bed and breakfast of all time, Sand Rock Farm.
I also visited my favorite California town at least twice this past year. Seriously if you’ve never been to Capitola you have to go. It’s adorable.
My mama and I took a girls trip! We went to LA and attended the Create + Cultivate conference. And maybe also snuck off for a day at the happiest place on Earth.
KB and I popped over to Portland in the spring. The Rose Garden was my absolute favorite.
The Spring was also major in terms of blog growth. It’s when I did my first two big collaborations with Bioré and Goody!
KB had a pretty crappy July. He’s an accountant and one of his jobs got picked for inspection. Gross!
We took the edge off by taking a relaxing trip to Cabo to celebrate our anniversary! Ugh these pictures are making me miss the summer time.
For our final trip of the year I followed KB over to Chicago where he was visiting for work. I was actually born just outside of Chicago and still have tons of family there.
It was awesome to play tourist and check out the city! We also got to stay with my family and spend some real quality time. Thanks Nana & Pops!
KB and I have lots of little traditions. Picking a pumpkin is one of them!
Our friends humored me and we all took a road trip down the coast to pick out the perfect pumpkins.
The end of 2016 was when I started pairing up with my amazing photographer, Hamee. I’m super into crafting up outfit posts now and Hamee has helped me step up my content game like crazy.
What was your favorite memory of 2016? What would you like to see more of here on the blog next year? Tell me in the comments below!
Looks like you had an amazing year! I definitely need to start wearing my FitBit more, and drink more water. I love how you were able to travel so much in 2016!
Wishing you all the best this year.
